Over 53,000 Kazakhstanis Trained on Skills Enbek Platform

Since the start of 2024, 53,500 people, including about 27,200 unemployed individuals, have received certificates for completing online courses on the Skills Enbek vocational training platform. In total, 427,200 Kazakhstanis have registered on the platform, with 69,800 new users in 2024, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan.

Out of the 27,200 unemployed citizens who completed training, around 8,000 are young people, primarily from the Aktobe, Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl regions, and the city of Shymkent.

Since its launch, the platform has published 490 courses in various fields, with 254 being free. Partners such as Courstore, Fluent Education, and Yandex Kazakhstan also offer courses that can transfer to other educational platforms for further learning.

Course durations range from 1 to 72 hours. The most popular courses in May included “Building a Sales Department in a Hotel,” “Salesperson,” “Insurance Agent,” “Professional Course for an Individual Assistant to Accompany People with Mobility Difficulties,” and “Fundamentals of Social Entrepreneurship.”

The platform continually adds free courses in various professions, including hospitality, construction, social services, finance, accounting, and IT.

The platform aims to raise the education and professional levels of the population, promote career development, and encourage lifelong learning. It was designed to resemble international training platforms that offer online courses in a marketplace format.

Training can be accessed via the direct link https://skills.enbek.kz/ or through the “Online training” section on enbek.kz.

Students can choose their own pace and language for instruction, track their progress, and benefit from advanced course search, clear lesson structures, and quick interaction with course authors.

To receive a certificate, students must pass a test with a minimum score of 70%. The certificate is then automatically included in their resume on the Electronic Labor Exchange (enbek.kz). Employers can see these certificates when searching for candidates.

Posting courses on the platform is free for authors and developers. Courses can be in Kazakh or Russian and include various formats such as text, presentations, videos, and infographics. The platform also supports interface adaptation for students with special needs.

Course authors have access to tools for lesson design, viewing course statistics, certificate design options, and a cost calculation tool. From December 2023, courses are also available through the Enbek mobile app on Google Play and the App Store.
