
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 9,364 road accidents occurred in 2024, resulting in 8,901 injuries and 2,203 fatalities. The main causes were failure to yield to pedestrians (47.1%), speeding (22.8%), and driver fatigue (3.7%).
Authorities also reported 132,298 crimes, including 58,800 cybercrimes, mostly involving bank fraud. Additionally, 54,000 women received protection orders against violence, and 625 victims of domestic abuse were placed in rehabilitation centers.
