Olga Rypakova Elected President of the Kazakhstan Athletics Federation

Olympic champion Olga Rypakova has been elected as the new President of the Kazakhstan Athletics Federation.

The final meeting of the Federation took place on December 11. During the meeting, Daniyal Akhmetov stepped down from his position as head of the organization, as reported by BasSport.kz, citing Olympic.kz.

In his place, Akhmetov proposed Olga Rypakova as the new president. The proposal was unanimously supported by meeting participants, including leaders of regional federations.

It is worth noting that throughout her athletic career, Olga Rypakova has won multiple Olympic medals: gold in London in 2012, silver in Beijing in 2008, and bronze in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
