Oldest Man in the World, Juan Vicente Perez Mora, Passes Away at 114

Juan Vicente Perez Mora, recognized as the oldest man in the world and a resident of Venezuela, has passed away at the remarkable age of 114. The sad news was confirmed by Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro.

In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), President Maduro expressed his condolences to the family of Perez Mora and extended sympathies to the residents of El Cobre, the city where the centenarian was born. He wrote, “Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest man in the world, died at the age of 114. I send my sincere condolences to his family and all the residents of the city of El Cobre.”

Born on May 27, 1909, in El Cobre, Venezuela, Juan Vicente Perez Mora was the ninth child among ten siblings. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy, having fathered 11 children throughout his lifetime. According to reports, Perez Mora spent his later years residing in a farmhouse in San José de Bolívar.
