Nomadic Games Added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List

The World Nomad Games, a major event that brings together sports, culture, education, and history, have been included in UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage.

Simona Mirela Miculescu, Chairperson of the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Conference, made this announcement at an international youth conference.

She highlighted that the choice of Kazakhstan as the host country is not by chance, as this year’s Games offer valuable lessons to the youth of a nation with a deep cultural and historical background.

It’s important to mention that the event is being organized with UNESCO’s support, reflecting the significance of the Games in preserving cultural heritage.

“The World Nomad Games represent a remarkable event that embodies true national values, which is why they were added to UNESCO’s cultural heritage list. I congratulate the organizers and the people of Kazakhstan on this celebration,” stated Simona Mirela Miculescu.
