No Harmful Organisms Detected in Shine Muscat Grapes, Says Ministry of Agriculture
The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan has confirmed that no harmful organisms were detected in Shine Muscat grapes following quarantine phytosanitary controls.
As part of the quarantine process, staff from the Republican Plant Quarantine Center, operating under the Ministry of Agriculture, conducted a thorough laboratory examination of grape samples. According to the quarantine phytosanitary conclusion, the samples showed no presence of quarantine harmful organisms.
Additionally, the National Center for Expertise, a branch of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Ministry of Health, conducted tests for nitrate content in the grapes at the Abay region’s border with China. The results indicated that the nitrate level was 13.7 mg/kg, which is considered safe for the product.
Plant quarantine measures are aimed at protecting Kazakhstan’s territory from the introduction of harmful organisms, detecting and eliminating any threats, and ensuring compliance with national phytosanitary regulations.
