New Head of Almaty Airport Appointed
Goker Kose has been named the new president of Almaty International Airport.
Alp Er Tunga Ersoy, who has served as President of Almaty Airport since June 2021, will step down on June 16.
Goker Kose, with about 20 years of experience in operational management, planning, investing, financial management, and enhancing airport efficiency, has been appointed the new president of the airport.
According to a statement from the airport, “Goker Kose joined TAV Airports holding in 2005. He completed an internship in civil aviation and airport management and participated in the implementation of the Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) program for the new Ankara Esenboğa Airport. In 2006, Kose joined the finance and strategy department of TAV Airports, working on numerous projects for over 10 years.”
Kose has actively participated in the technical and environmental assessments of airport projects, along with their financial and commercial planning. He has overseen airport investment projects, including both short- and long-term budget planning and fundraising.
In 2017, he became the Director of Investments and Financial Planning at Groupe ADP, leading investment projects for Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports in Paris. He also worked on business development for GMR Airports, the Indian division of Groupe ADP.
Goker Kose is a graduate of Middle East Technical University and holds an MBA from Bosphorus University in Istanbul.
