New Earthquake Detected in Almaty

According to the city's emergency department, seismologists have recorded the event.

Reports from Almaty indicate that another earthquake has been detected, with an estimated force of 2 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake struck on March 6, around 05:11 local time, causing noticeable tremors in the area. The National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research, under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is currently analyzing data from its network of seismic stations to determine the exact details of the earthquake, including its epicenter and intensity.

In addition to the earthquake in Almaty, Kazakh seismologists also detected another earthquake at 12:54 local time, approximately 255 kilometers southeast of Almaty, in China. This earthquake registered a magnitude of 5.3. Further updates on both seismic events are expected as more information becomes available.
