Nauryz Meiramy Celebrations Bring Festive Concerts to Astana’s Residential Areas

Residents of Astana can look forward to lively celebrations as Nauryz Meiramy festivities unfold across the city. On March 21-22, concert programs featuring interactive activities will take place in residential areas across five districts of the capital, catering to both adults and young residents.

According to the official website of the Astana akimat, approximately 200 events are scheduled as part of the Nauryz celebrations. These events include concerts, holiday programs, exhibitions, performances, sports competitions in national sports, folk festivals, and more.

Specifically, on March 21-22, concert programs will be held in five districts, featuring performances by creative groups and artists. Additionally, sports games and themed photo zones will be set up to entertain attendees.

Here are the details of the open-air events in various districts:

Kazgorodok: March 21, 14:00-16:00, School No. 55.
Central Square on Zhezkiik Street: March 21, 17:00-19:00.
Koyandy Dacha Area: March 21, 12:00-14:00, Central Square on Kenshiler Street.
Ondiris Residential Area: March 22, 13:00-15:00, Akbiday Street.
Kirpichny Residential Area: March 22, 12:00-14:00, Central Square at the intersection of Zholymbet and Chekhoev streets.
In the Yesil district, festivities will take place in the Prigorodny residential area on Arnasay Street from 12:00 to 14:00.

Attendees can also participate in traditional Kazakh sports competitions such as arkan tartu, asyk atu, kol kuresi, and gir koteru.

Moreover, a concert is planned for March 21 in the Urker residential area of the Nura region, at a park on Aigyrzhal Street.

In the Saryarka district, celebrations will be held at various locations, including Koktal Park, Korgalzhyn Square, and Okzhetpes Square.

For residents of the Almaty region, festivities will take place in residential areas such as International, Michurino, Zheleznodorozhny, Industrial, and Kuigenzhar.

Additionally, volunteers in the capital are actively engaged in distributing hot tea and bauyrsaks, assisting with snow removal, and delivering food baskets to families from socially vulnerable segments of the population. The ongoing Marathon of Good Deeds aims to provide support to those in need, with over 1,000 food packages already distributed to low-income families, mothers of many children, families raising children with special needs, pensioners, and single-parent families.
