In 2025, Tajikistan welcomed more than 1.7 million tourists. This figure is approximately 25 percent higher compared to the previous year, Kazinform reports.
At a reporting press conference, Jamshid Jumakhonzoda, Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan, stated that a total of 1,784,454 tourists visited the country last year.
According to him, this is 384,000 more people, or 27.5% higher, compared to 2024.
— In 2025, the largest number of tourists arrived from Uzbekistan — 1,046,672 people. A total of 396,475 tourists came from the Russian Federation, 137,530 from the Kyrgyz Republic, 37,288 from the Republic of Kazakhstan, and 33,178 from the People’s Republic of China, — he said.
He also noted that out of the total number of visitors, 1,634,500 came from CIS countries, while the remaining 149,900 arrived from non-CIS countries.
