More Than 3,000 Crimes Against Women Registered In Tajikistan
Tajikistan recorded an increase in complaints and criminal cases related to violence against women in 2025, according to official data.
Speaking at a year-end press briefing, Bunafsha Fayziddinzoda, Chairperson of the Committee for Women and Family Affairs, said authorities received a total of 3,609 complaints concerning violence against women — 367 more than in 2024.
Out of these, 3,423 cases were officially registered as crimes, marking an increase of 177 compared to the previous year. Additionally, 288 crimes were recorded against underage girls, up by 80 cases year-on-year.
The official also noted a rise in reports of violence committed by women against men. In 2025, 590 such complaints were filed, 36 more than the year before.
