Launched by the UN’s FAO in 2001, World Milk Day aims to raise awareness about the health benefits of milk and the importance of the dairy industry. While Mongolia has previously marked the occasion internally within the sector, this year it will be celebrated on a larger public scale.
Major dairy producers — including “Suu,” “Adu Dairy,” “Teso Food,” “Vitafit Milk,” and “Monfresh” — in collaboration with Mongolia’s Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, FAO, and the Dairy Industry Federation, will organize an open-air event in Ulaanbaatar’s National Park.
The festival will promote milk consumption, especially among children. It will feature product showcases, free tastings, giveaways, games, theatrical and circus performances, and even a cosplay contest.
Notably, Mongolia first recognized World Milk Day in 2016.
