Mirziyoyev Honors UN Secretary-General with Prestigious Uzbek Award
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres with the Order of Oliy Darazhali Dustlik, one of Uzbekistan's highest state awards, during Guterres' official visit to the republic from June 30 to July 1.
The presidential press service reported that this award recognizes Guterres’ significant personal contribution to elevating the cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations to an unprecedented level.
The ceremony took place at the Kuksaroy residence, where Mirziyoyev praised Guterres for his efforts in promoting global solidarity and unity, enhancing the effectiveness of the UN, and strengthening the ties between Uzbekistan and the organization.
