Minor Earthquake Strikes Kyrgyzstan, No Impact on Kazakhstan

Kyrgyzstan experienced a magnitude 4.1 earthquake, as reported by the seismic stations network managed by SOME LLP of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The incident was recorded at 00:51 Almaty time on January 5, TuraNews.kz reports.

The earthquake’s epicenter was identified 404 kilometers southwest of Almaty in Kyrgyzstan. Fortunately, residents in Kazakhstan did not perceive any tremors associated with the seismic event.

The earthquake’s energy class is determined to be 9.2, with a depth of occurrence recorded at 10 kilometers. Authorities are monitoring the situation, and there have been no reported damages or impact on the affected regions at this time.
