Ministers of Social Policy of Turkic States Meet in Türkiye

The first meeting of the ministers of social policy from the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) countries took place in Istanbul. Nazgul Sagindykova, Vice-Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan, attended the event.

Held in conjunction with International Family Day, the meeting’s theme was “Resisting the Risks of the Globalized World: Our Family is Our Future,” according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan.

Attendees included top officials and deputy ministers from OTS member countries—Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan—as well as observer countries Turkmenistan, Hungary, and Northern Cyprus.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye welcomed the delegation leaders, congratulating them on initiating regional cooperation in social protection and wishing them success in their collaborative efforts.

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation among the central state bodies of OTS member countries in social policy matters.
