Mine Collapse in Ulytau Region: 7 Workers Trapped Under Debris
Emergency Command Centers have been established at the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ulytau Regional Emergency Department.
An accident occurred at the Zhomart mine in the Zhanaarka district of Ulytau Region. A collapse in the mine trapped seven workers under the debris. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Kazakhmys Corporation via their Telegram channels.
Currently, there is no communication with the trapped workers. Search and rescue operations are underway at the site. Rescuers from Ulytau and Karaganda regions, canine teams, and specialists from the Disaster Medicine Center are involved in the efforts.
