Mild Earthquake Strikes Kyrgyzstan
An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 struck Kyrgyzstan at 5:41 AM local time.
According to the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the tremors were detected at 5:41 AM. The earthquake’s epicenter, with a magnitude of 3.4, was located in the Osh and Jalal-Abad regions of the country.
The intensity of the tremors was recorded as follows:
- In the villages of Orkazgan, Kandzyga, Ak-Terek, and Jiide, the intensity reached approximately 3.0 on the Richter scale.
- In the villages of Salam-Alyk and Kosh-Eter, the intensity was around 2.5.
