MIA of Ukraine: 10 people died as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station

As a result of flooding caused by the explosion of the dam at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in the Kherson and Nikolaev regions of Ukraine, ten people died, and 42 people, including seven children, are considered missing. This was announced by Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Igor Klymenko, Turanews.kz reports.

The minister noted that information is also being received about individuals killed in the territories controlled by the Russian Federation on the left bank of the Dnieper River.

“You know that yesterday, while attempting to cross to the right bank, our citizens were fired upon, and three people died, while several others were injured. We are closely monitoring this information. Once we receive confirmed information about the deceased or injured individuals who remain on the islands or the left bank, we will officially release this information,” the minister stressed.

According to him, a total of 46 settlements remain submerged, and 2,743 people have been evacuated.
