The fare for passenger transportation in the metro has been increased by 10 gapiks to 40 gapiks, Turanews.kz reports.
In the information released by the Tariff Council, it is stated that the applications of the transport companies were considered at the meeting.
According to the decision, the fare for passenger transportation in the metro is set at 40 kopecks for 1 journey. Currently, it is 30 kopecks: “The upper limit of the tariff for the country is 40 kopecks (currently 35 kopecks) on intra-city bus routes, 0.40-1.00 manat (currently 30-90 kopecks) depending on the distance on suburban and inter-town bus routes. On inter-city bus routes and the upper limit of the tariff is set at 3 kopecks per kilometer (the previous tariff was 2.4 kopecks)”.
The decisions come into force on February 3.
