Meeting Held Between Co-Chairs of Government Delegations for Demarcation and Delimitation
On December 4, 2024, a meeting was held in the city of Batken, Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, between the co-chairs of the government delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan for the delimitation and demarcation of their state border. The co-chairs, Kamchibek Tashiev of Kyrgyzstan and Saymumin Yatimov of Tajikistan, led the discussions.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyzstan Cabinet of Ministers, during the meeting, the heads of the delegations reached agreements and fully completed the description of the remaining sections of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.
The working groups of the two countries’ delegations have been tasked with beginning the process of finalizing the delimitation documents. The meeting was held in a friendly and mutually understanding atmosphere.
