Maulen Ashimbaev Holds Meeting with Mongolian Ambassador to Kazakhstan

Maulen Ashimbaev, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament, recently met with Dorj Bayarhuu, the Ambassador of Mongolia to Kazakhstan. The meeting aimed to discuss avenues for enhancing interparliamentary collaboration and fostering deeper partnerships between the two nations.

In his welcoming remarks, the Senate Speaker underscored the importance of maintaining a confidential dialogue at the highest levels, emphasizing its pivotal role in reinforcing the Kazakh-Mongolian cooperation. He stressed the necessity of bolstering inter-parliamentary relations, which are steadily evolving within the framework of international organizations.

Ashimbaev highlighted the significance of interparliamentary dialogue, expressing keen interest in further strengthening cooperation with Mongolia’s State Great Khural. He pointed out the existence of a cooperation group with the Parliament of Mongolia in the Senate of Kazakhstan and a parliamentary friendship group between the two countries in Mongolia’s State Great Khural. He emphasized that fostering active cooperation in this realm would facilitate stronger parliamentary ties and foster exchange of legislative expertise.

The Senate Chairman also discussed the flourishing relations between the two nations in various sectors, including trade, economy, and investments. He provided insights into Kazakhstan’s ongoing political modernization program initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Furthermore, Ashimbaev underscored the significance of spiritual diplomacy and expressed gratitude to Dorj Bayarhuu for the robust support and significant contribution of Mongolian religious leaders to the objectives of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. Notably, Buddhist temple leaders in Mongolia play a pivotal role in shaping the agenda and preparing final documents for the Congress.

In response, the Ambassador praised Kazakhstan’s socio-political transformations and expressed keen interest in further enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
