An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 struck the Turkish city of Malatya on Thursday morning. The earthquake was felt in several surrounding provinces, including Elazığ, Sivas, and Kahramanmaraş, Turanews.kz reports.
The earthquake occurred at 9:34 a.m. local time and had a depth of 7 kilometers. There are no reports of damage or casualties.
The earthquake was felt in the city center of Malatya, as well as in the surrounding villages. Some people reported feeling light shaking, but there were no reports of damage to buildings or infrastructure.
The Turkish government’s Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) is monitoring the situation and has not issued any warnings or advisories.
