Magnitude 3.6 Earthquake Hits Tashkent Region of Uzbekistan
A seismic event registering a magnitude of 3.6 struck the Chinaz district of the Tashkent region in Uzbekistan. The Republican Center for Seismic Forecasting Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan confirmed the occurrence.
According to the report released by the center, the earthquake took place on March 5 at 11:52 local time (09:52 Moscow time), with its epicenter located within the Tashkent region, specifically in the Chinaz district. The seismic activity originated at a depth of 15 kilometers, with its magnitude recorded at 3.6. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent measured approximately 96 kilometers in a north-easterly direction.
Although tremors with a magnitude of 2 were felt in areas near the epicenter, there were no reports of casualties or damage.
