Official public portal egov.kz and it’s mobile mobile application egov.kz have launched a service for the legalization of vehicles imported from abroad, Turanews.kz reports, citing “National Information Technologies” JSC.
The service will be available for individuals, starting from January 23 to July 1, 2023.
Citizens of Kazakhstan can legalize cars brought to the Republic of Kazakhstan until September 1, 2022 through the new service of the eGov.kz portal called “Checking a car for legalization”.
The new service is only for electronic application. Upon application, vehicles of categories B (passenger cars) and D1 (minibuses) are checked for compliance with the following requirements:
Rules for legalizing your vehicle
- The vehicle must have been brought to Kazakhstan before September 1, 2022.
- Must not have any criminal record registered with.
- The vehicle imported from countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union must undergo customs clearance.
Required Documents

- Document proving the identity of the applicant
- Passport of the vehicle or certificate of registration
- Document confirming the ownership of the vehicle
