Astana is hosting the XI forum of machine builders of Kazakhstan. Prime Minister of the country Alikhan Smailov read out a congratulatory letter from President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Turanews.kz reports.
“Dear participants of the forum. I congratulate you on the opening of the XI forum of machine builders of Kazakhstan. This forum has turned into an effective dialogue platform for finding new approaches that contribute to the prosperity of the industry. Intensive development of the manufacturing industry based on innovations and advanced technologies is very important for the diversification of the country’s economy. Machine-building production plays a special role in achieving this strategic goal. Last year, our car industry produced products worth more than 3 trillion tenge ($6,7 Billion). The type of goods, the volume of exports increased. Thousands of jobs have opened up. This was facilitated by the hard work of the teams of enterprises, the sustainable policy of the state, and large-scale support measures,” the letter of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev says.
In his address to the forum participants, the Head of State noted that we must create favorable conditions for investing in the engineering industry in order to increase its competitiveness.
“Therefore, on my instructions, a draft comprehensive plan has been prepared. I am sure that the successful implementation of the measures indicated in it will contribute to the development of this industry at a new pace and the prosperity of our country. Our main task is to intensify our own production, produce more products of deep processing and gradually enter foreign markets. I am sure that you will cope with this task. I wish you good luck with the forum. May your work be fruitful,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
