Kyrgyzstan Reports 11.5 Thousand Cases in a Week

This data represents a significant rise of +43.4% compared to the preceding week.

Experts highlight that the surge is substantial when contrasted with the same period last year, indicating a decrease of 4.0 times in influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) cases during the 50th week of 2022, which recorded 39,568 cases.

In terms of COVID-19, a minimal number of cases have been reported over the past 50 weeks, with only two cases documented in Bishkek and the Chui region. However, the monitoring and evaluation of the epidemiological situation, particularly concerning influenza, ARVI, and COVID-19, are ongoing in the country.

Authorities remain vigilant as they closely monitor the evolving situation, underscoring the importance of continued efforts to manage and mitigate the impact of respiratory infections in Kyrgyzstan.
