Kyrgyzstan Repatriates 85 Children from Syria Since Start of Year

Since the beginning of the year, Kyrgyzstan has successfully brought back 85 children from Syria, announced Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeenbek Kulubayev, during a press conference.

A total of 121 individuals were repatriated to Kyrgyzstan from Syria as part of the “Aykol” humanitarian mission. This group included 36 women and 85 children.

In related news, the National Security State Committee of Kyrgyzstan (NKSMC) recently uncovered an unregistered religious educational institution operating illegally in the city of Karakol.

According to the committee, the institution was conducting its activities without the required registration and permission from the authorized religious affairs body. During an inspection, it was found that three teachers were instructing over 35 minors at the facility.

As a result of the inspection, the operations of the religious educational institution were halted, and preventive measures were implemented.
