The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan has announced a three-month course on the Kyrgyz language, titled “The Kyrgyz language and the universe of Aitmatov.”, Turanews.kz reports.
The course will include a variety of activities, such as exhibitions related to national customs and traditions, performances in the state language based on the works of Chyngyz Aitmatov, screenings of feature films based on the works of Aitmatov and documentaries about writers, lectures, and exhibitions of Kyrgyz books. Events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Chyngyz Aitmatov will also be organized in educational institutions across the country.
The course is aimed at promoting the use of the Kyrgyz language and raising awareness of the country’s rich cultural heritage. It is also part of a broader effort by the Kyrgyz government to increase the use of the Kyrgyz language in all spheres of life.
The course will run from September to December 2023.
