Kyrgyzstan imposes moratorium on export of gold ores and concentrates

Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov has signed the order on the temporary ban on the export of gold ores and concentrates in Kyrgyzstan which will be available as of May 1, 2023, the press service of the Presidency of Kyrgyzstan reports.

It was also stated in the decree that the right to process gold-containing ores/concentrates mined and produced in Kyrgyzstan belongs to “Kara-Baltin Mining Combine” JSC.

it was stated In the relevant decree that the moratorium which will be valid for 6 months, the decision to extend it belongs to the government and it can be extended if it’s necessary.

It was reported that the Kyrgyz administration, the State Customs and Border Organizations were instructed to take the necessary measures for the implementation of the relevant decisions.
