Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan Forge New Postal Agreement via Caspian Port

Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan have reached an agreement to utilize a logistics complex connected to the Turkmenbashi port on the Caspian Sea for postal services.

Marat Cherikchiev, General Director of Kyrgyz Post JSC, and Serdar Ovvadov, General Director of Turkmenpost, have signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement.

The primary aim of this agreement is to establish stable and mutually beneficial relations between the postal operators of both countries.

“The agreement focuses on creating a seamless logistics chain involving China, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan, with the Turkmenbashi port playing a key role,” the statement explained.

Cherikchiev emphasized that the agreement not only strengthens the connection between the two postal services but also paves the way for more efficient and accessible postal services for citizens of both nations.

“Enhancing logistics and speeding up postal delivery are central to this partnership, which will positively impact the economies and daily lives of people in both countries,” he noted.

The agreement also fosters closer business and societal interactions, unlocking new opportunities for e-commerce development, technology exchange, and ultimately bolstering the economic and social infrastructure of both Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
