Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan Near Resolution on Border Disputes
Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have reached an agreement on 94% of their disputed border sections, marking significant progress in resolving long-standing tensions.
According to the information shared by of the presidential administration of Kyrgyzstan, two countries plan to continue discussions in Batken this August to address the remaining 6% of the border that is still in dispute. These talks will involve the topographic working groups and legal teams from both governments.
The Kyrgyz-Tajik border stretches for a total of 972 kilometers, making the resolution of these disputes crucial for both nations.
