Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan complete draft demarcation of 17.66 km of state border

A regular meeting of topographic working groups of government delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan was held, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

In accordance with the agreement reached by the parties, from December 1 to December 6, 2022, a regular meeting of the topographic working groups of the government delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border was held in Batken town of Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, the sides completed the project description of the passage of the line of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, with a total length of 17.66 km, and in order to continue the work, they agreed on a schedule of meetings for 2023.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and in the spirit of mutual understanding.

The next meeting will take place on the territory of Tajikistan.
