Kyrgyzstan and Russia Advance Cooperation Across Various Sectors

During the Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum, currently being held in Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul region, the two nations addressed key issues concerning their bilateral relations and outlined plans for the year ahead.

Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk. 

Japarov highlighted the robust state of Kyrgyz-Russian relations, noting the substantial progress in political, trade, and economic cooperation, as demonstrated by the forum.

Alexey Overchuk reiterated that the partnership between Russia and Kyrgyzstan continues to thrive under a strategic alliance, affirming Russia’s commitment to upholding previous agreements.

The discussions covered major topics on the Kyrgyz-Russian agenda, including the implementation of existing agreements and future cooperation prospects across various sectors.
