Kyrgyzstan and Palestine sign bilateral agreements

The foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Palestine, Jeenbek Kulubaev and Riyad al-Maliki, signed a number of bilateral agreements on Tuesday as part of al-Maliki’s visit to Kyrgyzstan, Turanews.kz reports citing 24.kg.

The agreements signed include:

  • An agreement on cooperation between the Kyrgyz National News Agency (KNIA) Kabar and the Palestinian state news agency WAFA.
  • An agreement on cooperation in the field of culture.
  • An agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture.
  • An agreement on cooperation in the field of healthcare.

The agreements are aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries in a variety of areas, including media, culture, agriculture, and healthcare.

In addition to the signing of the agreements, al-Maliki and Kulubaev held official talks to discuss ways to further develop relations between Kyrgyzstan and Palestine. They also discussed the situation in the Middle East and the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.

Al-Maliki also met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov. During the meeting, they discussed the same issues and also agreed to establish a joint commission on trade and economic cooperation.
