KazanForum 2024: Unveiling the Rich Tapestry of Islamic Culture and Commerce

Embarking on a six-day journey from May 14 to 19, the city of Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, is set to welcome the XV International Economic Forum, "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum". With a focus on fostering economic cooperation and cultural exchange, the event promises a vibrant convergence of Islamic fashion, cuisine, sports, and commerce.

Distinguished guests from across the globe, including representatives from Azerbaijan, Algeria, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, the UAE, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and numerous other nations, are expected to grace the occasion.

The KazanForum’s business program is meticulously designed to encompass a diverse array of thematic tracks, including international cooperation, tourism, business, science and technology, Islamic finance and investment, sports, and the halal industry. With a comprehensive lineup comprising 125 thematic sessions featuring experts from Russian regions and countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the forum aims to facilitate meaningful dialogue and collaboration.

Delegates will convene at sessions dedicated to the development of multimodal transport corridors, tourism initiatives, the export of Russian halal products, economic security measures, partnership financing mechanisms, as well as industrial, technological, educational, and cultural projects. Notably, the IT Park named after B. Rameev will host a meeting of the strategic vision group “Russia – Islamic World”, offering a platform for strategic planning and cooperation.

Moreover, the agenda includes the X Kazan Forum of Young Entrepreneurs of OIC Countries, a Forum of Young Diplomats of OIC Countries, startup presentations, a tournament of young chefs, and a myriad of other engaging events. The plenary meeting, scheduled for May 17, will see experts deliberating on the prospects for interaction between Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation across various sectors.

A pivotal component of the KazanForum, the international exhibition Russia Halal Expo, will unfold at the Kazan Expo IEC, showcasing halal products and facilitating bilateral business meetings between buyers and distributors. Concurrently, the international trade fair Kazan Halal Market will debut at the Kazan agro-industrial park, offering a comprehensive platform for the presentation of over 4,500 products from leading manufacturing companies across the Islamic world.
