The Federation of Greco-Roman, freestyle, and women’s wrestling in Kazakhstan has been acclaimed as the premier wrestling organization in Asia, according to reports from the Greco-Roman, Freestyle, and Women’s Wrestling Federation of Kazakhstan.
UWW Azia (Asian Wrestling Federation) conducted an online voting process to determine the best national federation for the year 2023.
In a two-stage vote involving members of the UWW-Asia executive committee, the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Federation of Greco-Roman, freestyle, and women’s wrestling emerged as the standout performer on the continent. The pivotal factor influencing this recognition was the successful hosting of the Asian Championship among adults in Kazakhstan from April 9 to 14, held in Astana. The Kazakh wrestlers showcased exceptional prowess by securing an impressive 7 gold medals during the championship, solidifying their standing as leaders in Asian wrestling.
