Kazakhstan’s Women’s Football Team Secures Big Victory Against Georgia

In the ongoing qualifying tournament for the 2025 European Championship, the Kazakhstan U19 women’s football team secured a notable victory against Georgia.
Facing off against their Georgian counterparts in the third match of Group B5, held at the Mikheil Meskhi stadium in Tbilisi, the Kazakhstani players displayed an impressive performance.
Despite an early goal by Georgia’s midfielder Natalya Kvirkvaya in the fourth minute, Kazakhstan quickly turned the tide. Valeria Popva equalized in the 37th minute before securing a double just 16 minutes later. Ayazhan Kozhabekova extended Kazakhstan’s lead with a goal in the 64th minute, followed by Kazyna Norbaeva’s contribution in the 72nd minute. The match concluded with Adiya Askarova sealing Kazakhstan’s victory with the fifth goal.
With this convincing win, Orynbasar Daurenbekova’s team solidifies their position in the tournament standings. After three rounds, Kazakhstan sits in third place in Group B5, having accumulated four points. Estonia and Northern Ireland lead the group with six and four points respectively.
