Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Received By Turkish President

Ankara, February 2, 2026 – Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yerzhan Kosherbayev, was received by President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his official visit to Ankara.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan highlighted the steady expansion of bilateral ties within the framework of an enhanced strategic partnership. He emphasized the importance of further deepening comprehensive cooperation across political, economic and humanitarian spheres.

Minister Kosherbayev conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and briefed the Turkish leader on the implementation of agreements previously reached at the highest levels.

The sides reviewed prospects for strengthening Kazakh-Turkish relations built on longstanding friendship and brotherhood. Particular attention was given to coordination within international organizations, including Turkic cooperation platforms. The parties also underlined their aligned positions on key regional and global issues.
