Kazakhstanis Granted 30-Day Visa-Free Stay in Thailand
Kazakhstan has announced an extension of its trial visa-free regime with Thailand, allowing Kazakhstani citizens to stay in Thailand for up to 30 days without requiring a visa
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has released a draft government resolution on the exemption from visa requirements for holders of national passports.
According to the draft resolution, Kazakhstani citizens will be permitted to stay in Thailand visa-free for a duration of 30 calendar days upon entry. However, the total number of days spent by Kazakhstanis in Thailand within a period of 180 days must not exceed 90 days. Individuals wishing to extend their stay beyond this period will be required to obtain the appropriate visa.
Similar conditions will apply for Thai citizens intending to stay in Kazakhstan.
The public consultation period for the draft document will continue until March 29.
The draft specifies that the agreement will be in effect indefinitely and will come into force 30 calendar days after the receipt of the final written notification through diplomatic channels regarding the completion of internal state procedures.
