Kazakhstani Juniors Shine in Tennis Europe Series Tournaments
Last week, Kazakhstani junior tennis players delivered impressive performances in the Tennis Europe series tournaments for players under 12 and 14 years old. The young athletes showcased their skills on the international stage, competing in Serbia, Germany, and Austria.
In Serbia, Syrymzhan Barlykov reached the singles final but was defeated by local player Nikola Jotic, with a score of 1:6, 2:6. However, Barlykov found success in the doubles category, partnering with fellow Kazakhstani Emir Aitbayev. The duo claimed victory against Bulgarian players Vladimir Stoimenov and Daniel Vasev, winning 6:2, 6:4, as reported by the Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, in Augsburg, Germany, Ansar Nietkaliyev advanced to the finals but was defeated by German player Lorenzo Runner, with a score of 2:6, 2:6.
In Austria, Mariyam Nurzhan teamed up with Russian Daria Belyakova in the doubles final. They faced Austrian players Julia Ehrenberger and Mia Neumuller but fell short with a score of 1:6, 4:6.
Despite the losses in singles finals, the performances of these young athletes demonstrate the growing talent in Kazakhstan’s junior tennis scene .
