Kazakhstan warns citizens against visiting Russian regions near Ukraine
The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Moscow has urged citizens of Kazakhstan to refrain from visiting the regions of the Russian Federation bordering Ukraine due to security threats, Turanews.kz reports.
The embassy said that all citizens who are in the Russian Federation, and especially in the regions bordering Ukraine, should register with the Consular Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia. This will allow the embassy to provide assistance in the event of force majeure circumstances.
The governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, has also urged citizens to refrain from traveling to the city center and not to leave their homes.
The security threats in the regions of Russia bordering Ukraine are due to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The conflict has caused a humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, and there is a risk of further escalation.
