Kazakhstan is currently trialing a Turkish Anka unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) at a special combat training center in Jambyl province. The trials are being conducted by the flight and engineering personnel of the Kazakh military unit, with representatives from Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) providing support, Turanews.kz reports.

The Anka is a medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) UAV that is manufactured by TAI. The UAV has a wingspan of 17.3 meters and can carry a payload of up to 350 kilograms. It has a maximum flight endurance of 24 hours and can fly at an altitude of up to 25,000 feet.

The military operation trials of the Anka are scheduled to continue until mid-March 2024. If the trials are successful, the Anka will be included in the inventory of the Kazakh army.
