Kazakhstan to start transporting oil via BTC pipeline as of 2023

Kazakhstan Prime Minister Alihan Ismailov, in a statement to the press after the weekly plenary session in the Parliament, stated that they have prepared a special roadmap to diversify oil exports.
Prime Minister Alikhan Ismailov, “we have agreed on transportation 1.5 million tons of oil through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline from starting January 1, 2023 and we are working on increasing the shipment capacity to 6 -6.5 million tons in the future.” said.
In addition, Ismailov noted that in the future, Kazakh oil can be transported through the Baku-Supsa and Baku-Batumi pipelines.
