Kazakhstan to Boost Gas Production to 91 Billion Cubic Meters by 2030

Kazakhstan is set to increase its annual gas production to 91 billion cubic meters by 2030, according to a recent announcement from the Ministry of Energy, as reported by primeminister.kz.

As part of these efforts, the country plans to expand its gas infrastructure significantly, aiming to connect 128 additional settlements to the gas supply network by 2024. This expansion is expected to raise the national gas supply coverage to 61.8%.

Since the start of 2024, Kazakhstan has shown strong performance in its oil and gas sector. In the first half of the year, the country produced 44.7 million tons of oil and gas condensate.

Particularly notable is the growth in gas production, which reached 30 billion cubic meters, marking a 101% increase compared to the same period last year.

These developments underscore Kazakhstan’s commitment to enhancing its energy sector and meeting growing domestic and international energy demands.
