Kazakhstan sends rescue teams to Türkiye

The Kazakhstan goverment is sending a team, including experienced rescuers and doctors, as well as specially trained dogs, to Türkiye to carry out search and rescue works in the provinces affected by the earthquakes.

Vice Minister of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan Ibragim Kulshimbayev stated that the Kazakh rescuers and health workers will join rescue operations after the deadly earthquakes in Türkiye, Turanews.kz reports.

Kulshimbayev told that Jibek Joly TV Channel that Kazakhstan is ready to assist quake-stricken areas in Türkiye. Kazakhstan will send special equipment, emergency vehicles, therapeutic equipment, modular tents, hydraulic rescue tools, and sniffer dogs.

Monday in Türkiye a major 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck before daybreak on Monday, when residents were likely asleep and unprepared for the impact. Video from Türkiye shared on social media showed dozens of collapsed buildings.
