Kazakhstan Sends Humanitarian Aid to Kyrgyzstan Mudflow Victims

The Kazakhstan public fund Biz Birgemiz Qazaqstan has sent 40 tons of humanitarian aid to support Kyrgyzstanis affected by recent mudflows in the southern region of the country. This was reported by Kazinform agency's own correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, cargo trucks carrying the aid crossed the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border on the morning of July 19 and are headed to the Osh region. The aid includes food products such as flour and sugar, essential goods, and hygiene products.

On July 14, a devastating mudflow struck Osh and the surrounding region, resulting in the deaths of five people. The mudflow caused significant damage in the settlements of Mady, Datka, and Bash-Bulak, affecting 642 residential buildings, four schools, a kindergarten, two hospitals, a museum, and a first aid station. In Osh, 146 residential buildings and a kindergarten were damaged.
