Kazakhstan Senate Approves Amendments to Turkic Council Agreement

Kazakhstan’s Senate has unanimously approved the law ratifying amendments to the Nakhchivan Agreement, which established the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States, according to parliamentary sources.

The protocol was originally signed during the summit held on November 11, 2022, in Samarkand by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. Azerbaijan and Türkiye have already ratified the amendments through their respective parliaments.

The Turkic Council continues to play a key role in strengthening cultural and spiritual ties among fraternal nations. With this ratification, deeper regional cooperation is expected, paving the way for greater unity in the Turkic world.
