Kazakhstan Launches Pilot Program to Teach Programming and AI

The Kazakh government has introduced a new initiative to equip teachers and students with programming and artificial intelligence (AI) skills. A pilot online platform has been launched to provide training in these areas.

The program aims to train 300 teachers in AI and game development over the next six months. Upon completion, these educators will be qualified to teach programming fundamentals to both teachers and students.

Students will participate in a two-phase program. The initial online phase will focus on “No Code,” “Low Code,” and “Startup Academy” courses, followed by in-person programming basics training next year. Over 27,000 students are expected to participate in the pilot.

The online platform offers flexible learning with video lectures, additional materials, and assessments. Students can access the courses at their convenience and receive support from program coordinators.

This initiative is a significant step towards integrating digital skills into the Kazakh education system and preparing the next generation for the technological future.
