The initiative comes in response to directives from the country’s leadership to highlight its diverse cultural tapestry and amplify its national brand. The unveiling of the project was announced by Elvira Zhurgenbaeva, an official representative of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, during a gathering at the CCS site.
The primary objective behind the development of the “Qazaq Culture” website, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information, is to foster awareness about Kazakhstan’s cultural legacy and bolster its national identity. This online platform is set to serve as a comprehensive resource offering insights into the country’s culture and history.
“This ambitious endeavor, which showcases the multifaceted nature of Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage, disseminates information in six official UN languages as well as Kazakh and Turkish. Of particular significance is the inclusion of data from Kazakhstan’s unique archival repository, making it an invaluable asset for scholars and citizens keen on delving into the nation’s historical narratives,” remarked the spokesperson.
At the heart of the website lies a dynamic news blog, serving as a hub for cultural updates from both within the country and around the globe. This section will feature news on a wide array of cultural events, including festivals, markets, competitions, theatrical productions, film premieres, book launches by established and emerging authors, art exhibitions, milestone celebrations, and regional projects of varying scopes.
