Organized annually, the campaign is spearheaded by the National Commission on Women’s Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of Kazakhstan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Information.
This initiative underscores Kazakhstan’s commitment to eradicating all forms of violence on both national and global levels. Its primary objectives are to prevent domestic violence and enhance public awareness of legal rights, according to the Ministry of Culture and Information.
In Astana, the campaign featured a university competition where teams creatively addressed cases related to gender-based violence.
An extensive public awareness effort has also been launched, focusing on different types of violence, their impacts, and prevention strategies.
The program includes self-defense training for women, conferences, roundtable discussions, an art performance highlighting anti-violence themes, and various other events aimed at fostering awareness and action.
